Project
Haskayne Legacy Park Pavilion
Spanning nearly 70,000 ft², Haskayne Legacy Park Pavilion serves as an educational hub designed to enrich social, learning, and event experiences for the Calgary community through a strong connection to nature and the Bow Valley ecosystem. Nestled within a 360-acre landscape, the pavilion represents the City of Calgary’s newest green destination, offering a place for gathering, discovery, and engagement within a protected natural setting.
Nyhoff Architecture led the design of the project, with The HIDI Group responsible for the mechanical and plumbing systems supporting the community facility. Designed to meet the National Energy Code for Buildings, the pavilion is pursuing Net-Zero performance through strategies such as geothermal heating and a focus on reduced energy demand. Together, these measures reflect a clear commitment to long-term environmental stewardship. Opening to the public in Fall 2023, Haskayne Legacy Park Pavilion establishes a forward-looking model for sustainable, community-focused civic spaces.
