Project

Kehewin K-12 School

Completed in 2021, the Kehewin K-12 School stands as a beacon of education on the Kehewin Cree Nation of Alberta. Designed by Reimagine Architects (previously known as Manasc Isaac), the school was envisioned to seamlessly connect the Nation’s elementary and junior-senior high schools. Beyond traditional education, the facility intertwines cultural heritage and contemporary teaching methods. Distinct features, such as “learning villages” centered around Cree Teaching Classrooms, epitomize this fusion.

Striving for near Net-Zero standards, our fibreglass-framed curtain wall systems played a pivotal role. A robust building envelope allowed for a streamlined HVAC system, translating to reduced operational expenses, heightened maintenance efficiency, and bolstered resilience, especially vital for a project situated on a reserve.
