Project
Maskwacis Transition Housing for Youth
Developed for the Kasohkowew Child Wellness Society, the Maskwacis Transition Housing for Youth provides a safe and affordable home for young Indigenous people aged 16–24 who are preparing to live independently. The 12-unit building includes eight suites for youth transitioning out of care and four for residents with developmental disabilities, each designed to support privacy, stability, and connection to community.
Featuring GlasCurtain’s Thermaframe 7 fibreglass-framed curtain wall system, the building combines durability and energy efficiency with year-round comfort. The high-performance envelope reduces heat loss, minimizes condensation, and supports long-term operational savings, helping ensure the facility remains a healthy, welcoming place for generations to come.
