Alexander First Nation Kipohtakaw Education Center

The Kipohtakaw Education Center on the Alexander First Nation Reserve, located about forty kilometers northwest of Edmonton, is receiving essential upgrades. These changes will not only create a welcoming learning space for students but also benefit the surrounding community. Indigenous Services Canada is supporting this project, which enhances the original school built in 1992.

Reimagine Architects partnered with us to incorporate our Thermaframe 7 system into the design. By gathering insights from local community workshops, the team aligned the school from east to west. This orientation maximizes solar gain and transparency, allowing the building to connect naturally with its surroundings. Ultimately, this thoughtful design fosters a sustainable, comfortable, and inspiring space for everyone.
