Nunavut Arctic College (NAC)

The Nunatta Campus at Nunavut Arctic College is located on the south of Baffin Island in the territory of Nunavut. Designed to express the stoic Arctic landscape, this stunning project creates a nurturing learning environment while providing protection from the often harsh physical environment.

With an unusually high window-to-wall ratio for a building at 63° North Latitude, Teeple Architects and Cibinel Architects designed a space that embraces its natural landscape and provides magnificent views of the nearby harbour. The indoor spaces are designed to foster collaboration and lifelong learning. This project was completed in 2019 and received an Honourable Mention at the 2019 Plan Awards.
