York Snow Management Offices

The York Region Snow Management Facility Offices is a state-of-the-art project designed to Passive House Institute (PHI) Cold Climate standards, the first of its kind in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Optimally situated to serve local residents and businesses starting in 2025, this innovative facility will meet the current and future needs of this rapidly growing area by sustainably enhancing urban infrastructure and community capacity.

This building is also amongst the first in Canada to leverage GlasCurtain’s industry-leading Thermaframe 9 PH system, the world’s best thermally-performing curtain wall as certified by PHI in Darmstadt, Germany. This triple-glazed fibreglass-framed curtain wall system is perfectly suited for cold climate, low-rise, owner-occupied buildings such as this one designed by Arcadis IBI Group.
